CSST/CAC - Technician/Consultant - Asbestos

JSG is seeking an experienced Asbestos Professional for a direct hire position in Lakewood, CA. The successful candidate will independently develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee asbestos projects though completion. This may include the completion of inspections, report writing, development of operations and maintenance plans, performing abatement oversight and development of project specifications.
Candidates will be required to write and edit detailed scientific reports for clients. They will have the ability to provide scientific expertise, advice, guidance and interpretation of data to the clients.
Lead and Indoor Air Quality experience and certifications are a plus.
Experience can be a substitute for a Bachelors Degree / 10+ years DOE.
Qualifications –
Successful candidates will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of field experience conducting assessments and inspections for lead.
- Proficiently perform assignments having the knowledge, skills and abilities and experience needed to carry out all aspects of completing the project.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
- May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved.
- Effectively utilize the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches encountered in work assignments.
- Identify and eliminate unnecessary work and non-value added activities.
- Be proficient with MS Office and Outlook.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as knowledge of building systems.
- Possess a current certification from the State of California for either Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC).
Status – Full Time
Salary $66,560 - $93,600 - DOE
