The CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position uses ingenuity, iniative, and independent judgement to perform high quality scans.

This role will also be expected to assist with Radiology Tech duties as needed.

As an CT Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:

Maintains ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the jobUnderstands and operates CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining necessary consents, maintaining applicable QC program and reporting any equipment failures or problems.As ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision administers contrast media to patients per protocol and provides education to patients regarding safety concerns inherent to contrast administration.Stays updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities
 

Minimum Qualifications CT Tech

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 daysARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon HireLicensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon HireIV Competency within 90 Days

Preferred Qualifications

For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certificationCertified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT)Specific facility-based certification may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility will define and manage compliance1-2 years Work Experience CT Experience in a hospital setting

Minimum Qualifications CT Tech II

Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (with prior approval).Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.

CT Specialty Tech in Training Minimum Qualifications  (Pay range $32.02 - 49.44 USD Hourly)

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Applicable State LicenseAn American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who is currently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$35.25 - $54.39
