CT/Radiology Technologist

Job Description Summary:

This position offers flexible scheduling options, including four 10-hour shifts, three 12-hour shifts, or two 20-hour shifts. Additionally, a newly renovated sleep room is available for use if desired and when accessible.

The role involves utilizing and maintaining equipment and supplies to perform radiological and computed tomography procedures in accordance with Radiology Department standards and legal requirements.

This position comes with a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus.

Qualifications:

Current Montana Radiology Technologist license.Must have current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.Two (2) years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.BLS certification within six (6) months of hire.Computed Tomography Certification within two (2) years of hireExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

Assisting and Caring for Others — Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients. Getting Information — observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining Information from all relevant sources. Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events — Identifying Information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events. Working directly with the Public. Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — providing Information to supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.Compliant with National Standards of Continuing Education to maintain professional competency and proficiency.Will remain in compliance with Federal and State regulations as they pertain to this position.Participates in special studies as requested.Ensures that the quality of professional services is maintainedEnsures operation of radiology and computerized tomography equipment by completing following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation. Maintains radiology and CT supplies inventor by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for suppliesMinimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using restrictive beam devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Maintains production and quality of radiographic and/or CT images by following established standards and procedures. Develops radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
