Position Summary: Organizes, supervises and monitors all departmental procedures and equipment in the CT Department Education, License & Cert: Graduate of an AMA approved School; ARRT(CT) certification required BA required within 1 year of date of hire ARRT(CT) Experience: At least three years broad experience as a CT Technologist. Essential Functions: 1. Performs procedures in spiral CT 2. Performs technical aspects of spiral CT on inpatients and outpatients per established procedures and guidelines. 3. Assist in staff scheduling and other daily operations 4. Develop policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies. 5. Is responsible for Assuring compliance with federal and state regulations, JCAHO Standards, and all other standards determined to the hospital to be desirable. Assures documentation of data relevant to this compliance is complete. 6. Develop and coordinate monthly in‐service. 7. Responsible for instructing other technologists in new procedures instituted in the Department. 8. Responsible for performing annual competencies to all CT Staff 9. Daily equipment quality control a. Perform daily and quarterly Q.A. procedures on equipment and maintain records of same. b. Maintain equipment and procure repairs, as needed. Other Duties: A. Explain procedures to patients, medical personnel and others so as to ensure cooperation in scheduling and performance of procedures B. Ability to work must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, on a scheduled basis. C. Track patients and studies utilizing Epic Radiant RIS.
