Position Summary:

The CT Team Lead is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations. This role organizes and directs activities within the work unit and assigns and monitors the work of others. The CT Team Lead may spend a substantial portion of time performing the same duties as other staff in the department.

What the CT Team Lead will do

Coordinates daily operations of unit. Routinely performs day-to-day staff level duties.Participates in ongoing quality monitoring, data collection, analysis, action plans, and implementation. Provides input into the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental and division goals. Works with Biomed to ensure that all equipment and services are compliant.Acts as a resource, guide, and support to peers and support staff.Provides input for interviewing and hiring of new staff and for the evaluation process and development of performance evaluations.Provides information that assists in the development of the budget.Complies with departmental activities such as monitoring supplies, documenting charges/services, etc. Oversees the scheduling and assigns work to personnel and is accountable for the time management of all departmental staff. Serves as a consultant/resource regarding practice, professional, departmental, and Hospital issues to members of the Leadership Team, peers, physicians, staff, students, and other members of the health care team within and outside department/Hospital.Explains exam and procedures and acquires patient history. Monitors safety and comfort of patient through the exam.

What the CT Team Lead will need:

Completion of an approved Radiology Technology Program. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  CT Certification required. Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.Three or more years' experience as a staff technologist in CT.Preferred: Three to five years of supervisory experience in a Radiology Imaging modality.Preferred: Capable of interpretation and monitoring of EKG tracings. (Minimum requirement of NM Coordinator.Ability to lift up to a maximum of 35lbs. and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs.
