Responsibilities This position is accountable for operating the C.T. scanner, transportation of patients to and from the department, handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients. The incumbent is responsible for calling the physician with the report of the exam. Must be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluid. Must demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating the PACS computer system. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day to day operation of the department. Qualifications Job Requirements: Vocational / Technical Education Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or registry eligible. If registry eligible upon hire they must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry while employed. BLS Certification Previous experience Preferred Job Requirements: Advanced certification in CT
