Overview

Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake. 

As our CT Tech at CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. If you're looking for variety and work flexibility with hours, this position is for you! 

Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations such as x-rays, ultrasound and or nuclear medicine, CT/CAT scans, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, and PET to assist in diagnosis and treatment. This role is primarily focused on x-ray, CT and nuclear medicine, although we are willing to train!

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You have demonstrated the ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion. You're self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments.

Responsibilities

Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patientsThorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the orderHyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activityRoutinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.Is responsible to participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus and system quality improvement projects, the ACR accreditation process, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and StateRegulations as they apply to staff's license or certifications. Be familiar with the requirements of CMS and Joint Commission and be able to speak to all department processes around quality and environment of care. 
Qualifications
Graduate of a Radiology Technology program or graduate of a post-secondary allied health profession program.ARRT Board Certified in Radiology (RTR).NDMIRT 

AHA Basic Life Support 

ARDMS board certification - within 12 months

Licensed in the State of North Dakota.

Preferred:

CT and Nuclear Medicine.
