What you will do:

Abiding by the St Peter’s Health Partners Mission and values, under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the department Manager and Supervisor the CT Technologist performs all CT procedures in accordance with department standards.

Responsibilities:

Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.Evaluates requests for appropriateness, refers concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.Instructs patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.Effectively communicates information regarding post procedures.Ensures proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry program.Effectively completes all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.Demonstrates proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams.Assists in the instruction of new personnel.

What you will need:

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent hospital-based certificate program.

Current NYS license, ARRT are required.

The CT Technologist will have 30 days upon hire to obtain their NYS IV certification.

The CT technologist will not inject or hook up any contrast injection until they receive their IV certification from NYS. CPR/BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

 

        ** Will accept NYS temporary license for new graduates until expiration date. If the colleague fails their boards  they will not be able to work in this position. ARRT for new graduates must be received within 6 months of hire**

Pay Range: $34.05 - $51.10

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
