As a **CT Tech** , at Carlsbad Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Under the direction of a Radiologist, CT Technologist utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of a patient’s internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A CT Technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, perform venipuncture, prepare and operate CT scan equipment, position the patient to capture the appropriate images, obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the department protocols. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
