Job Description

The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. job duties and responsibilities include:

Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professionalExplaining what will happen during the CT scan to patientsPositioning patients properly to take the necessary imagesExamining images to ensure they’re usablePerform ultrasound examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization.Updating patient medical informationPerforms ultrasound examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization.Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipmentKeeping an inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required

 Education/Experience/Licensure/Other:

Associate's degree and completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration, and 0-2 years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Toshiba experience and CT experience required.
