Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, the CT Technologist II is responsible for performing and assisting with advanced computer tomography (CT) applications to produce for medical cross-sectional imaging for interpretation by a Radiologist. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The CT Technologist II demonstrates excellent customer service performance.

Qualifications
Associate Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required Bachelor's Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology with CT registry preferred 2-4 years experience as an X-Ray technologist required 1-2 years CT experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of CT. Ensures appropriate use of screening tools for patients prior to the performance of any procedure. Applies independent, professional, ethical and critical thinking to ensure the accuracy of the procedure. Practices radiation safety techniques for the patient, self and others. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development across the lifespan and is competent in age-appropriate imaging and patient care. Demonstrated competence of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS). Complies with HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements at all times and in compliance with required annual training. Ability to ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to established protocols. Skills in preparing and positioning patients accurately for CT scans, including using safety lifts and/or additional personnel for patient transfers. Competence in maintaining CT equipment and ensuring its proper functioning. Ability to collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team members. Advanced knowledge of CT protocols and techniques. Skills in administering contrast media and monitoring patients for adverse reactions. Capability to work more independently and assume mentorship duties within the department.Licenses and Certifications
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with an advanced level registry in CT preferred required BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required Licensed Radiologic Technologist As required by state required
