CT Technologist
Overview

Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI Oakes Hospital.  As our CT Technologist,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. If you're looking for variety and work flexibility with hours, this position is for you! This is a full-time position with weekday hours and shared on-call duty. 

Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations. You'll perform both CT and conventional radiology to also include working the c-arm during pain clinic procedures. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You have demonstrated the ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion. You're self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments. You're a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills, as well as interpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members.

About Us:

CHI Oakes Hospital is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007 replacing a 50-year old building and in 2010 Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization CommonSpirit Health.


Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic procedures such as CT and conventional radiology to also include c-arm.Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order.Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Qualifications
Graduate of a Radiology Technology program or graduate of a post-secondary allied health profession program.Must hold a valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in North Dakota (MRAD:ND)

ARRT Board Certified in Radiology (RTR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of  hire. Issued by the American Heart Association.  

Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture as required for position.
