Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Operates Single Slice and Multi-slice Computed Tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients body for diagnostic purposes by performing the following duties. Safe operation and care of CT equipment and exposure of patients to radiation for diagnostic information. Must be able to provide professional and quality care while following hospital policies procedures and standards. Performs all duties of a CT technologist on a daily basis and provides direct patient care to patients ranging in age from pediatric through geriatric.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology license (CT-RTT) and BLS required. Certified through ARRT in Computed Tomography (Cat Scan) required.Previous CT experience required. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of two years as a Radiologic Technologist preferred

Special Qualifications:

Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the hospital. Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and how to draw and interpret a bar graph. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
