JOB SUMMARY:

Performs technical procedures to obtain diagnostic exams of various portions of the body using recognized radiographical techniques. Exhibits the values of F.I.R.S.T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

 

WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Works in a radiation exposure area. Exposure to infectious materials, cuts, and abrasions from equipment. A flexible work schedule is required. Constant physical activity. Strenuous activity involved with moving equipment and patients. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.

 

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:

Patients, visitors, medical staff, and all other departments within the facility.

 

EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to operate radiation exposure equipment and computers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS:

Education:

Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technologists.

 

Experience:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Advanced ARRT registry in Computed Tomography is preferred.  Must maintain current KY General Radiation Operators License in the Department of Human Resources.

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Techs. Must maintain current KY Radiation Operators License.
