The Work:
+ Patient-Centric Approach: Review patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
+ Preparation and Administration: Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Continually monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
+ Equipment Operation: Prepare, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
+ Imaging Procedures: Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Take corrective actions to address image quality issues, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of exam findings.
You Have:
+ Passion for Excellence: Committed to achieving excellence in your field and providing exceptional patient care.
+ Education: Completion of a Radiological Technology School/Program; an associate's degree is preferred.
+ Certification/Licensure:
+ State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required within 8 weeks after hire.
+ Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
