THE ROLE   

The Culinary Supervisor position will be responsible for monitoring and oversee the daily operations of the production kitchen. The Culinary Supervisor will work with the team of Chefs to ensure that all food is prepared at the highest standards and will elevate the fan experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assists the Chef team in all food service operations and day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Provides direction to kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties. Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire department regulations. Ensures compliance with Provincial, local and company food handling requirements and standards. Assists in the implementation and management of kitchen and company policies and procedures throughout scheduled shift. Completes all duties and is capable of performing the duties of all kitchen positions. Ensures products are stored at the correct temperatures and the recipe books are up to date with current menu items, portions, and ingredients. Ensures utilization of daily prep sheets and that product counts are recorded accurately daily. Participates in mind-month and monthly inventory process or when required. Anticipates, identifies, and corrects any issues with inventory, systems, and staffing. Monitors labor costs to attain budgeted goals within company policies and procedures. Oversees and approves training and development of kitchen staff. Participates in the hiring process by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations. Coaches, mentors, and provides constructive feedback as required to kitchen staff. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED 3+ years of hospitality-related experience 1+ years of kitchen manager or leadership experience Current food handler’s certificate and other certification as required by federal/provincial/local law Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office and point-of-sale software A thorough knowledge of the OHSA with a focus on WHMIS and SDS required. A grateful leader with strong communication and mentoring skills required. Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays WORKING CONDITIONS
