THE JOB
We seek a passionate and driven CURATED College Associate to join our team. This role requires a critical and forward thinker who excels in strategic planning and execution. The ideal candidate will take direction well, demonstrating the ability to transform ideas into actionable plans. Being unafraid to ask questions and seek clarification is essential, fostering collaboration and innovation. A deep connection to and understanding of Black culture is crucial for this position, as you will play a key role in crafting experiences that resonate with our community.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Assist in Programming Development: Collaborate with team members to brainstorm, develop, and refine programming ideas that support Black-founded festivals, CURATED properties, and cultural experiences.
Event Execution: Help coordinate and execute events, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively, from planning to on-site support, while maintaining a focus on cultural relevance and community engagement.
Trend Reporting: Conduct regular research and trend analysis related to Black culture and community interests. Compile findings into reports to inform programming decisions and enhance our offerings.
Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback that will inform the development of relevant and impactful programming.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align efforts and integrate diverse perspectives into event planning and execution.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of programming and event outcomes, including attendance, participant feedback, and overall impact, to support continuous improvement.
Communication: Assist in crafting promotional materials and communications for events and initiatives, ensuring messaging resonates with the target audience.
Adaptability: Be open to taking on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Must be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's program at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate
Cultural Engagement: Strong understanding and appreciation of Black culture, with demonstrated involvement in community initiatives or cultural programming.
Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to analyze situations critically and propose innovative solutions, demonstrating forward-thinking and creativity.
Organizational Skills: Proven experience in planning and organizing events or projects, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Proactive Attitude: Willingness to ask questions, seek clarification, and take initiative in problem-solving and project execution.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being capable of working independently when needed.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Passion for Cultural Impact: A genuine interest in contributing to the celebration and promotion of Black culture through programming and community engagement efforts.
