As the Control Manager – Asia CEM Trading – Associate within the team, you will oversee and govern the control environment, facilitate Front Office supervision, and prepare the business for regulatory exams and audits. You will identify control gaps, implement firm-wide policies, and manage operational risk, working closely with risk and control experts across the region.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted control advisor to the Front Office within the controls spaceRepresent Front Office interests in control and regulatory initiativesExecute and implement business controls priorities and strategyDrive control agenda at functional level across critical business unit risksOversee front office supervisory management and executionImplement and report on control and risk governanceEvaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business’ risk and control environmentIdentify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root causes of control breaksExecute ad hoc analytical requests, control deep dives, and projectsPrepare the business for controls audits and regulatory examsReview incidents with stakeholders to agree on root causes and deliver remedial actionsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplinesMinimum 5+ years of Investment Banking (Markets Business) or Finance sector experienceGood understanding of markets and trading productsStrong attention to detail and investigative mindsetStrong understanding of controls and their application to different processes and businesses. Experience with control design and evaluationStrong analytical, problem solving, and process re-engineering skillsExcellent communication, partnering, and influencing skillsAbility to independently lead initiatives with exposure to senior Business stakeholdersGood organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasksHighly motivated self-starterPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience in a global financial institutionPrior exposure to regulatory exams and auditsFamiliarity with Asia markets and regulatory landscape
