The Current Product Engineer will be responsible to contribute the successful completion of projects by applying technical/engineering knowledge to projects and issues for which he/she is responsible. Participates in product modification, development and correction activities. Participates in R&D centre activities.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

Manage materials and design issues. Carry out product improvement studies according to project type. Define product bills of materials and participate in the preparation of technical drawings and engineering standards. Define raw material and semi-finished product specifications. Participate in the development and updating of engineering databases and programmes. To make efforts to reduce the cost of the hose. To learn process problems relating to hose. Perform hose tests related to customer complaints and provide comments for root cause analysis of complaints. Participate in inventory studies and check for non-conformities in recipes and make corrections where necessary. To keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of hoses and, if requested, to visit customers. Participate in trade fairs and technical organisations. Participate in the development/improvement of existing products, participate in manufacturing trials. Participate in process and quality related improvements by working with operational units from an engineering perspective. Provide technical support to departments directly or indirectly affected by engineering issues such as sales, planning, production and purchasing. Background & Skills
