PCSI is looking for a Custodial Supervisor to join the Facilities team at the Corporate Headquarters office. The Custodial Supervisor provides training and leadership to 2 custodians, assigns tasks, and arranges work schedules. This role also maintains supplies used for cleaning the corporate office and ensures work is completed efficiently.
This is a working supervisor role, also responsible for some cleaning in offices, floors, restrooms, and break rooms. The Custodial Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations over corporate facilities and is based in south Austin, TX. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 11:00am-8:00pm, with a 1 hour meal period.
Benefits Include:
Base pay of $52,000-55,000, depending upon experience. Annual bonus of up to 6%. 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays. What You'll Do as Custodial Supervisor:
Provide supervision and leadership to Custodial employees. Assist in employees' job duties as needed to complete work assigned. May perform cleaning and maintaining of the facilities. Provide continual on-the-job training as required. Schedule employee retraining as required on new processes and procedures demands. Encourage, guide, and mentor all employees’ personal and professional development. Assign task and work schedules to employees as needed. Ensure employees comply with OSHA, Federal, State, and City Requirements. Maintain all supplies required to perform cleaning duties. Ensure supplies are available to the employees in order for them to complete their assigned task. At end of shift, inventory supplies and make arrangements to correct deficiencies. Provide management with suggestions and ideas for improvements to process and procedural changes that will continually improve on-going performance. Ensure all employees follow all facility safety policies and procedures. Read and fully understand (SDS) Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals and solutions used in our processes and procedures. Inspect and round on areas to ensure work has commenced and exactness of work as well as projects. What You'll Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working as a supervisor in janitorial services, or related experience. Some facilities maintenance experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to use general cleaning equipment such as a mop, broom, vacuum, duster etc. Ability to take independent decisions as needed to complete work orders. Ability to follow policies and procedures in place to perform duties assigned. Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed and establish effective working relationships.Other Requirements:
Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening. Ability to climb, bend, squat, push, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-50 pounds; prolonged walking up to 90%.
