Summary This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood Davidson Fitness Center. Bi-weekly reviews and lists sent to management starting 03 January 2025; additional lists may be sent at management request.** Responsibilities Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment. Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Cleans, and dusts assigned areas. Empties trash. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Moves heavy furniture. Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds. Must have the ability to follow instructions. Must have a basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and equipment. Must know the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment. Care is required to avoid serious injury when working on ladders and when moving heavy furniture and using heavy powered equipment. Works is usually performed indoors in areas that have adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Exposed to dirt and disagreeable odors, vibration from use of heavy equipment, and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above. Ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade. Keep the assigned work area neat and clean. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
