Custodian Responsibilities:
Maintains cleanliness and deep cleaning schedule for all areas to include offices, reception, breakrooms, locker rooms, bathrooms, hallways, clubhouse comfort stations, and any storage areas as required. Cleans all internal and external areas of clubhouses to include walkways, entry areas, and any debris in parking lots. Applies proper cleaning techniques for vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, stripping, and waxing, dusting, spot cleaning, scrubbing, and disinfecting. Restocks toilet paper, towels, soap, lotion, sanitizer and any other items as needed. Assists in litter pick up for all building exterior areas to include sidewalks, lawn areas, parking lot, waste receptacles and entryways. Maintains appropriate inventory of cleaning supply levels and communicates order needs to manager. Reports all emergencies, damages, needed repairs, maintenance needs, or safety issues immediately to manager. Adheres to and maintains the Club’s high standards of cleanliness. Follows all established safety guidelines and protocols. Complies with departmental uniform and appearance standards. Presents a friendly demeanor and shows genuine interest in the members’ needs or questions and always attempts to accommodate any reasonable request. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Custodian Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. One or more years of cleaning, custodial, janitorial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Very organized and able to handle multiple tasks effectively. Able to understand and follow verbal and written direction in English. Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees. Able to operate standard cleaning tools and use cleaning chemicals according to safe work practices. Able to work nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Custodian Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and/or walk 80% of shift. Able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and upward reaching 80% of shift.
