CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. Responsibilities
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Working under the Environmental Services Supervisor, The Environmental Services Custodian cleans and maintains assigned floors of the medical center in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition to promote a clean and healthy medical center environment for all employees, patients and guests in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St. Alexius Medical Center. Removes and transports all garbage and soiled linen as per established procedure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and cleans all floors according to established procedure using correct chemicals in correct amount. Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and rearrangement.Possess skills/knowledge to perform service and operation of equipment specific to age groups. Maintains a safe environment.Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions throughout the Medical Center to the ES Supervisor. Collects, containerizes, and transports regular garbage, isolation, and soiled linen per established procedure.Qualifications
Education: Completion of High School Education or equivalent preferred.
Licensure:Must have a valid driver license to operate riding equipment in the Medical Center.
Skills:Ability to understand and complete written and verbal instruction
