Custodian
Position Summary The custodian will be responsible for the custodial cleaning activities in bioMerieux SLC administrative areas. Primary Duties + Proper removal of trash and other waste streams ensuring all waste is properly disposed. + Cleaning floors, walls, touch surfaces, glass, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, equipment, outdoor/indoor common areas, cafeterias etc + Other duties as assigned. + Report any facility or safety concerns to Supervisor. Supplemental Data + Must have reliable transportation Training, Education, and Experience + Custodial experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. + High attention to detail and follow through. + Receive and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively. + Demonstrate effective team work with all staff. + Ability to follow job assignments completely and efficiently. + Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buffers. + Basic Computer email and data entry skills. + Knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets), cleaning products and their methods of use. + Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships throughout the company. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements + Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. + Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like. + Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. + Ability to operate heavy machinery. + Ability to adjust or move objects up to 40 pounds in all directions. + Position may require standing, walking, bending, twisting for extended periods.
