Overview

We’re looking for a Full-Time Custodian to provide custodial services our Distribution Center located in Kansas City. 

Our campus is non-smoking

 

2nd shift - M-Th 3:30 pm - 2:00 am (Required OT at Peak Times twice per month to include Friday and Saturday, same times)

 

Responsibilities

Vacuums carpeted floors and floor mats by using an industrial vacuumCleans cement floors by using an industrial floor scrubbing machineSweeps, mops and dusts all areas of the building including shipping, manufacturing and warehouse areas.Ensures that all trash is removed from the building and deposits it into the receptacle. Cleans all restrooms by sweeping & mopping floors, disinfecting the restrooms, (i.e., wiping & washing urinals, toilets, sinks, stalls, walls, floors, mirrors, etc.) with disinfectant. Cleans break room by sweeping floors, disinfecting the lunchroom: by wiping & washing tables, chairs, counters, floors, walls, windows, etc.Ensures all refuse is removed from the grounds around the building by sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, and emptying garbage cans and ash buckets. Stocks break room with supplies and prepares coffee and hot chocolate machines for use.Cleans windows inside and outside of the facility by using scissor lift or man lift.Cleans hard to reach areas overhead and under the equipment including racks and windows.Cleans offices including desks, chairs, carpet and chair mats.Cleans lobby area including the mezzanine and observatory windows.Ensures that the building is “Tour Ready” condition at all times. Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Ability to work independentlyAbility to lift 40 lbsWalking, stretching, and lifting for the duration of the shiftWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to climb stairs.Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
