This role gives you a unique opportunity to grow professionally within Custody Operations in Frankfurt, partnering with other teams in the Custody business, both locally and internationally. 

As an Associate within our Instruction Services & Processing team, you will play a vital role in indexing, authenticating and capturing manual instructions – cash and securities - for German speaking clients. 

Job responsibilities

Perform authentication steps for and capture manual client instructions across a variety of products. The Frankfurt-based team is part of a global team.  Build strong internal working relationships and partnerships with colleagues in Frankfurt and globally.  Provide operational subject matter expertise and perform root cause analysis to resolve any issues. Identify opportunities to reduce manual client instructions and eliminate bespoke client processes.  Manage group e-mail inbox for the team.          Input into daily and monthly MIS reports for senior management.  Support other teams in Custody Operations if required.  Perform project-related tasks depending on workload.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Proven track record in Operations. Industry/product knowledge in Trade Settlement, Cash or Asset Servicing required. Attention to detail required. Ambitious, hard-working, self-motivated, flexible, analytical and proactive. Key focus areas for the role are accuracy, proactivity, responsiveness, knowledge and drive for excellence. Excellent prioritisation, planning, organisational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, confident at interacting and communicating with internal and external parties. Bachelor degree or a completed bank apprenticeship.  Fluency in German is essential.

Advanced knowledge of J.P. Morgan’s systems / applications and service offering a plus.
