Promote innovation as a Senior Product Associate in Global Custody Tax within Investor Services of Securities Services.
As a Global Custody Tax Sr Product Associate within the Securities Services Tax Product team, you will contribute to the running and control of the Global Custody Tax function. You will work closely with the rest of the Tax Product team, Tax Operations, Fund Accounting, Corporate Tax and other Risk and Control functions, as well as Client teams, to ensure an excellent tax service is provided to Custody clients and to mitigate tax risks and optimise controls. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with various teams globally and directly impact the product and service offerings of the custody business. It offers you an exciting learning opportunity to gain knowledge and experience across the whole range of Custody Tax services provided by J.P. Morgan and an in-depth understanding of the tax risk issues that may arise. As such, this role would provide an excellent base for your progression within Custody Tax.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement weekly Tax Product Risk Management procedures including Prepare Agenda for and drafting minutes of weekly tax risk management calls Maintain tax risk management tracker and assisting in driving issues to a conclusion Draft tax risk management reporting to senior management Ensure tax risk management procedures are updated and refined as required Support Custody Tax Product delivery to J.P. Morgan’s clients, across the range of funds serviced including European Tax Transparent Funds, Exchange Traded Funds and other fund types. Monitor and manage implementation of tax changes across EMEA - with particular focus on Irish fund developments - as required, as part of the Tax Product delivery team, assessing the impact to product and service offering and client experience. Managing appropriate internal and external communications. Contribute to drafting of market flashes and associated policies, tax product materials, where relevant Collaborate with the Operations and Corporate Tax teams to assess the impact of Market & Regulatory developments on the Global Custody Tax product offering. Ensure that resultant solutions meet agreed requirements / standards. Define and implement new and / or enhanced tax product features and functions Support client requests that require a change to the custody tax service offering. Conducting business assessments, defining / creating solutions and managing their implementation.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Ability to move process change, from the definition of initial requirements through to the delivery of the end solution. Tax experience working in a professional services firm, a financial services firm, and/or product management role. Basic understanding of Securities Withholding Tax and the service delivered by a Custodian. Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Proven expertise in developing, prioritising and delivering business solutions. Strong presentation skills and client facing experience. Ability to work independently in country and also effectively in a matrix organisation. Experience in managing and influencing key business partners and cross-functional stakeholders for the delivery of the services. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate the Global Custody Tax strategy. Strong organisational, planning & MS Office skills and a track record of delivery.ABOUT US
