Johnson Service Group is looking for a Full-Time Customer Service Admin for one of our Clients in the Bay Area. This person would be involved in servicing customer accounts; serves as front-line customer support processing customer requests for service, receiving payments, outreach for various programs, and addressing customer inquiries and complaints; and performs related work as required. Should have Call Center exp.
Responsibilities:
Obtain required customer information to process requests for starting or discontinuing water services; determine deposit amounts based on written guidelines, and prorate or adjust billings as necessary. Interpret policies and procedures to respond to routine customer inquiries and complaints regarding billing, fees, rate structures, and District services; research and resolve questions or refer to appropriate personnel. Perform billing-related duties, including scheduling, auditing, resolving errors, reviewing accounts for accuracy, entering meter readings, and coordinating with field staff to verify consumption and address potential leaks. Assist customers in setting up online accounts, enrolling in payment plans, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenging customer interactions professionally. Receive customer payments, issue receipts, process mail payments, balance daily cash receipts, batch checks, and prepare bank deposit documents. Use online systems to process service requests, post payments, update customer account files, create work orders for field personnel, and maintain meter records. Schedule and coordinate field personnel activities for new water service setups or service disconnections due to non-payment; interpret tract maps and research property records for field support. Issue hydrant meters for temporary water service, process payments, record readings, bill for damages, and refund deposits. Review customer account records for accuracy and completeness, correct discrepancies, or escalate issues for resolution. Prepare correspondence and special reports related to customer service activities. Serve as the receptionist for District administrative offices, handling incoming calls and visitors, and directing them appropriately.
Qualifications:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. One (1) year of administrative or customer service experience. Strong proficiency in using online computer systems and Microsoft Office applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. Rate: $34
