Customer Account Representative-Sales

The Customer Account Representative for Commercial Business serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. What you’ll do as a Customer Account Representative: + Interfaces with customer to ensure an outstanding customer experience from initial inquiry through delivery and payment collection. + Manages the customer order process including purchase order acknowledgment, shipping, invoicing, and billing, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. + Fosters strong customer relationships by building rapport, maintaining trust, and proactively communicating changes or updates to ensure customer success and satisfaction. + Collaborates cross-functionally (supply chain, scheduling, production, shipping, receiving, accounts payable/receivable) to ensure customer requests are fulfilled and to resolve concerns promptly. + Attends and facilitates meetings (both internal production meetings and customer-facing meetings) to document needs, track work in progress, address risks, and ensure alignment on project timelines. + Manages quotations and work processes by delivering timely quotes, documenting production requirements, and following established protocols. + Proactively problem solves on behalf of customers, using sound judgment to escalate issues as needed and continuously improve their experience. + Collaborates with key partners and leadership to align on financial objectives and deliver optimal results, balancing business goals with customer satisfaction. + Maintains regular status updates on projects and customer accounts, providing daily/weekly/monthly reports as required to keep stakeholders informed. + Prioritizes tasks effectively to meet deadlines, leveraging judgment to escalate challenges only after all other options have been exhausted. We’re looking for a Customer Account Representative with: + Bachelor’s degree in business management; preferred + 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing account management or customer service role, within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment (B2B preferred). + Proficiency with quotation and order processes. + International experience (or exposure to global customers) is a plus. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. + Strong presentation skills for both internal and external audiences. + Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes. + Self-motivated with a demonstrated drive for success. + Highly organized, able to multitask, attention to detail, and meet deadlines. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). + ERP experience: SAP is a plus. Physical requirements and working conditions: Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires: + Move throughout entire facility to attend to various issues, service customers and attend meetings + Work effectively in teams with strong communication skills and ability to facilitate + Perform sedentary work on various computer systems. + Required to be on-site 5 days per week + Role will operate during standard business hours but depending on the location of the customer base and during peak periods, some flexibility may be required to handle customer inquiries outside of regular business hours + Domestic travel up to 10%. + This Customer Account Representative position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility.
