Summary/Objective

The Customer Advocate - Credit Reporting is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of ACA’s credit bureau reporting and credit bureau dispute processes as outlined in ACA’s Compliance Management System’s Credit Reporting Manual. The Customer Advocate does not involve direct interaction with customers. This role operates fully onsite in our Spartanburg, SC office.

Perform account level reviews and root cause analysisEnsure information ACA furnishes to Credit Reporting Agencies is accurate:Identifies appropriately the consumer(s) to whom the information relatesReflects the terms of, and liability for, the consumer’s account(s)Reflects the consumer’s performance and other conduct with respect to the account(s)Provides information with integrity that is:Substantiated by ACA’s records at the time the information is furnishedFurnished in a form and manner designed to minimize the likelihood that the information may be incorrectly reflected in a consumer reportInvestigates & responds to Credit Disputes through E-Oscar and other channels in a timely and accurate manorOther tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in the auto finance or equivalent consumer finance industryStrong understanding of consumer credit report informationStrong understanding of the auto loan lifecycleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail orientedAbility to maintain composure and multitask in a fast paced environmentExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows, SQL, Power Point and the InternetMust be a self-motivator while actively participating in a team environment

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. with some schedule variations as needed.

 

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
