Roles and Responsibilities
Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions for GIS product (configuration, performance estimation, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team.
Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. To include 'ITO': Technical analysis of client need: definition and optimization of the products; scope (description); schedule; industrial scheme; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures. Calculation of plant, system and equipment performance and efficiency.
Documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. This also includes OTR part where engineers work on customizing the products and implementing it for specific customer needs
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others;
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
Engineering Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical with 6 to 12 years experience in Tendering or engineering function of GIS / Electrical EHV Substations / Switchgear industry
Knowledge on production Bill of Material and configurations required
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Experience on using CREO / Autocad / SAP
Foreign Language proficiency in French / Spanish will be an added advantage
