As Customer Application Specialist (CAS) in our Life Science & Diagnostics division group, you will support our customers in Pathology laboratories. We provide timely and high-quality diagnosis within cancer diagnostic through trusted answers and insights that advance the quality of life. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a field-based role as a member of the Italy Customer Application Specialist (CAS) team, supporting Field Sales in the Pathology & Healthcare setting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

•    Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing organizations in the promotion of products.
•    Provide in-field pre-sales technical support to Italy Sales Representatives to ensure high value sales are progressed, including Customer Facing Team technical visits, on-site demonstrations, workshops, and tender support.
•    Provide post-sales support to the customer, including onsite instrument and product training, validation support, optimisation / adaptation of products to customers’ needs, on-going technical support and customer care.
•    Participate in Clinical Sessions with Pathologists reviewing slides on demonstrations or for technical troubleshooting.
•    Report the result of actions (trainings, demos, and technical support) to CAS Manager.
•    Drive seminars and special training for customers (technician, pathologists, others lab stakeholders).
•    Help build customer relationships and to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
•    Assess competitor activity whilst on customer sites and to report back to the Sales Management Team.
•    Collaborate and support the Customer Technical Support Team / Remote Service Engineer (RSE) 
•    Handle customer complaints and inquiries in collaboration with local sales, service, and RSE in compliance with the global complaint handling process.

For this role, you will be working remotely combined with regular travel to customer sites in the North of Italy, and especially the Lombardia, Piemonte and Veneto regions (a company car will be available to you). 
 

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with the following background:

•    University degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or similar
•    Significant hands-on experience with H&E/primary/special staining, immunohistochemistry and/or ISH
•    Great knowledge of pathology workflows
•    Full proficiency in Italian and good level of English
•    IT/Computer literacy
•    A valid driving license
•    Previous experience in an Applications / Technical role around similar solutions is desirable but not essential.

On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing, customer and quality oriented. You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team. You have great communications and interpersonal skills to interact with many internal and external partners. Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning and organizational skills.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
