Customer Care Specialist - Allied Seed - Albany, OR

Allied Seed is headquartered in Nampa, Idaho and currently employs 55 employees (including seasonal workers) nationwide. Allied Seed is part of the GROWMARK system, an agricultural subsidiary serving more than 100,000 customers across North America, Canada, and Mexico. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

 

Provides a positive customer experience to support brand loyalty. Responsible for customer service functions pertaining to timely processing of orders from receipt to shipment and working with the warehouse. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Maintains a basic understanding of products and services offered by Allied Seed and answer customer inquiries as needed. 

 

Assist in processing paperwork needed for all manufacturing activities to fill orders.

 

Responsible for processing invoices to customers.

 

Reconcile work orders as completed.

 

Works with customer care team for seamless processing of an order through invoicing. 

 

Works with customers and sales teams to provide information as needed. 

 

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Cross trains with other Customer Care staff to provide uninterrupted customer support. 

 

Follows Allied Seeds’ Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. 

 

Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, or 2 or more years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Excel.

 

Assist in process improvement discussions, projects, and implementation with other enterprise teams. 

 

Able to read, assimilate, evaluate, and interpret technical data pertaining to production and quality testing. 

 

Ability to provide coverage for all inventory and operations responsibilities as needed in all of the division’s assigned product lines. 

 

Demonstrates essential abilities, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. 

 

Able to actively contribute to all division initiatives. 

 

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.  

 

Ability to work overtime as needed. 

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Allied Seeds’ policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
