YOUR ROLE The Customer Category Development Manager will play a key role providing Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving recommendations to the Canadian Sales Team to identify opportunities and develop customer-centric selling stories. A self-starter with an innovative, analytical, solution-oriented, strategic mindset to evaluate and identify Category and Customer growth opportunities while offering a clear point of view leveraging syndicated marketplace reporting.  An expert storyteller interpreting POS, loyalty, and shopper data to develop best-in-class Category Reviews. Leads Assortment / Line reviews to identify growth opportunities.  Provides ad hoc Sales support of presentation development identifying strategic account opportunities including space to sales analytics and ability to influence through fact-based storytelling.  Develops pre- and post-promotional sales analysis, including customer marketing programs, to help drive merchandising effectiveness to achieve sales and category goals.  Educates and disseminates HQ strategic information (brand & insights), studies and analyses, to Team and Account with market focus.  Builds relationships with North American and Global Shopper Category Development Team to leverage and share best demonstrated practices.  Collaborates with Commerical Strategy Team to bring forward Category and Customer Centric category growth opportunities while considering revenue growth principles. YOUR SKILLS B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience  5+ years of experience in Category Management (or related roles) within consumer products industry with manufacturer or syndicated data supplier. Previous customer facing experience is required.  Direct sales experience in consumer packaged goods industry required Excellent computer skills with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)  Strong proficiency and expert knowledge working across multiple systems including customer tools. i.e. Nielsen, Numerator, LDIA, Circana, Springboard.  Superb communication skills (oral and written) with experience presenting data and findings to senior level audiences incl. at customer engagements.  Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to distill vast amounts of data into critical business insights to activate. Strong competency in time management to assist in successfully managing multiple projects.  Ability to take initiative and identify issues and implement Market/Account solutions with little direction.  Ability to learn new software and tools and champions customer platforms to improve efficiency in achievement of key responsibilities.  Builds and advances organizational capabilities through training and development of Sales Fundamentals and customer specific scorecards.
