You work in partnership with customers to define and execute a winning growth strategy for both Mondelēz International and the customer.

LOCATION: This position is based in Minneapolis, MN at the MDLZ Target Satellite office. 

 

Mission: The Customer Category Manager (CCM) will drive Mondelēz International selling efforts on Biscuit (Cookie and Cracker) business.  Through the implementation of the Mondelēz International business strategy, the CCM will develop strategies to grow the Biscuit business using Target specific sales/marketing programs and coordinate cross functional teams to execute the Target business strategy. 

Responsibilities & Outcomes: 

Build Biscuit (Cookie and Cracker) business with Target as measured by share gains, joint value creation, volume targets, special programs, and new item introductions. 

Cultivate strong partnership with Target through the joint business planning process. 

Continually analyze all aspects of the Biscuit business for display, merchandising, pricing and assortment opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on those areas of opportunity. 

Support cross-functional business planning in category management, supply chain efficiency, technology, local marketing. 

Develop, track, analyze, and evaluate business plans based on Business Unit, customer strategies/initiatives and external factors. 

Understand and utilize insight information applications, both internal and external (competition), to build total customer profits. 

Tailor programs consistent with customer’s strategy that deliver superior results and aligns with the business sectors’ expectations. 

Serve as primary interface with Mondelēz International HQ Sales organization for assigned categories and provide a single point of accountability to the customer for all Mondelēz International activities in categories assigned. 

Provide updates to management on competitive activity (both at Walmart and in the market), Walmart specific strategy changes, key marketplace updates and other business-related activities. 

Communicate and influence implementation of business plans to enable superior execution across key team members. 

Administer volume and trade promotion spending levels within budget while managing trade dollars as percent of revenue for maximum results, drive efficient and effective trade programs to deliver best ROI and within budget. 

Interface with key customer contacts to assess current service levels, understand areas for improvement and ensure improvement plans are implemented. 

Lead and/or assist with category reviews and customer visits, including annual reviews. 

Leverage Mondelēz International supply chain to meet the needs of the customer.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $111,500 to $153,350; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. Job specific requirements:

Minimum 1-3 years in a customer-facing role in FMCG/CPG industry with proven selling/negotiating experience; HQ Selling experience a plus.Successful relationship building/partnershipStrong organizational skills

Travel requirements: Minimal travel required (~10%).

Work schedule: This is a full-time position where you will work from our Minneapolis, MN office 3 days per week and the other 2 days remote.

Within Country Relocation support available and for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
