12-month Industrial placement overview

For this fast-paced placement we are looking for customer minded individuals with a self-motivated approach to work, used to working in a high pressure, time sensitive environment with the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.

What awaits you?
You will be part of a marketing planning team and help design and execute project plans focusing on the Pro Photographer and B2B Imaging (photo & video) markets, identify measures of success, and generate new ideas and areas of improvement. Adopting a commercial mind set, your innovative thinking will allow you to demonstrate your passion in developing robust marketing concepts.Working towards your own objectives, you will be assigned specific tasks as well as defined projects to deliver, which will be based upon immediate business needs and strategic activity to support longer term goals.You will use your analytical skills to monitor the performance of activities and take appropriate action to provide solutions to problems and escalate issues as appropriate.Working as part of a team, you will support the delivery of events and exhibitions targeting the Pro Photographer and B2B Imaging markets, where you will be assigned a specific role before, during and after the event, and be focused on ensuring successful outcomes.You will work directly with the Pro Photographer and B2B Imaging Sales team and related pro/video channel partners to deliver planned activities and provide ad-hoc support.Working in collaboration with the Product, and PR & Communications teams, you will provide additional support to the wider marketing activities.Examples of areas you will experience: campaign activation, liaising with design and print agencies, events and exhibitions, photography workshops, incentive schemes, web content, customer communications, social media and more…! What we askStudying towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:1.Ability to work on your own and within a team, whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people, and strong interpersonal skills, to influence and negotiate internally and externally to the organisation.Analytical skills with good attention to detail, and organisational and project planning skills with the ability to track projects and provide updates when asked.Ability to work under pressure with the energy to manage a busy workload. Confident by nature with the ability to use your own initiative to respond to a fast-paced environment.Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbalGood level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

What do you need to do now?
If you apply, the next stages of the recruiting process could include a video interview and then a face to face, telephone, or virtual interview with the hiring managers. If selected you will then be invited to an assessment centre at our Head Office in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

To be eligible for this position, you must be returning to your studies, for the last year of your bachelor’s degree, following completion of this placement. You must be able to provide proof of your legal right to work in England.
