Job Description:

Customer Services Consultant – MSD Software Compliance

Job Profile Summary:

This position is responsible for completing Software Compliance License reviews across a range of Broadcom’s Mainframe customer base.  In doing so, this position will be responsible for reviewing Broadcom contracts as well as customers’ usage on the Mainframe, and providing subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, and technical specialization via a recommendation on whether or not to pursue.  Development of best practices for conducting reviews and expanding framework as needed

Expertise:

Supervision:

Experience:

Bachelors and 5+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years of related experience

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop best practices and framework for mainframe software compliance reviewsEnsure solid set of criteria to qualify customers for reviewConsistent, repeatable and able to withstand legal challengesCross functional partnership and communication regarding audit customersParticipation in Audit Committee meetings with all software divisionsUnderstanding of the criteria for other divisionsAdvise Mainframe Leadership on potential customersDetailed review of complex contracts, includinginterpretation of licensing entitlementsFormal audit provisionsDetailed review of SCRTs and Incorta Reports for actual product activityCoordinate request with Account Team or directly with customer if there is missing or additional information required to complete the reviewIncludes manual review of non standard reporting requirements (i.e. Service Providers provide a list of LPARS by customer, need to check against reports)Analyze contract entitlements to product activityLevel of detail dependent on contracted license modelSummarize results in a consistent easy to consume formatProvide recommendations based upon results for further actionPresent results to MSD Leadership, including GM levelCommunicate results to various individuals/management
