About Us: TriMet is a leading public transit agency dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation solutions to the Portland metropolitan area. Our Customer Experience team has an exciting opportunity with our Digital Information Device project, and we're looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Project Management Intern.
Position Overview:
As a Project Management Intern, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of our Digital Information Device project. Working closely with a project manager, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the project lifecycle while gaining valuable hands-on experience in project management.
This Internship is performed in-person. Applicants must be available to work in-person in the Portland Metro region of Oregon.

Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
The Project Management Intern will oversee various aspects of the Digital Information Device project.. They will efficiently coordinate procurement activities, plan installation tasks, and maintain accurate documentation. Additionally, they will assist in fulfilling configuration requests, provide essential administrative support, ensure post-installation documentation, and collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot device issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruptions to project activities.
Position Requirements
What You Bring:
To qualify, you must be a recent graduate student within the last 12 months or a current Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a project management, transportation management, business, or related degree, demonstrating strong organizational abilities, acute attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capacity to effectively prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient project management and successful task completion within a dynamic environment are must-haves!
Interested in earning a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification? Participating in our Digital Information Device project can count towards the 4,500-hour requirement. Selection Criteria
Type of Position / Grade / FLSA
Non-Exempt, Non-Union, Full-Time (40 hours/week), Temporary. Internships will run May/June through August/September.
Wage
Interns will be paid $21/hour
Selection Process
