About the Job This internship is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience and exposure to Colgate’s commercial finance processes and activities while at the same time working on day-to-day activities and projects that are important to the needs of our US daily operations. During the internship, students will work on various financial activities and also have the opportunity to meet with members of our Divisional/Financial Senior Management Teams and learn about Colgate Palmolive’s overall business. We are looking for candidates who show great aptitude/willingness to learn quickly on the job, demonstrate strong analytical skills, have the ability to multitask, have the flexibility to manage a variety of responsibilities that may change frequently and who can think creatively to generate ideas that will improve efficiencies in our Finance function. The Customer Development Finance internship provides excellent exposure to Colgate’s Customer Development Organization and the company’s key accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Weekly update of P&L (Profit & Loss) statement. + Monthly update of NVOs (Non Variable Overhead) report and Ecommerce P&L. + Biweekly reminder to the team of promotional events status. + Support Gross to Net reconciliation process on spending (Rebates / Deductions). + Calculate the return on investment of promotional items that sell in our customer’s stores. + Maintain customized files used for tracking sales vs quota and plans. + Participate in key business meetings. + Support understanding analytics on market Profit & Loss and other strategic initiatives. + Support month end closing activities by researching specific issues related to trade spending in order to complete closing explanations. + Work on special projects as needed. Requirements + To be considered for this internship, you must be an undergraduate student + Expectation to be in office at least 3 days per week + Desired Majors: Finance, Accounting, or related fields + Strong analytical skills + Superior interpersonal and communication skills + Project management and quantitative skills + Interest in a global career + Authorization to work in the United States for any employer required Duration of the internship: June 2025 to June 2026 **Compensation and Benefits** Salary Range $20.00 - $24.00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles. Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).
