Job Title: Customer Inventory Planning and Warehouse Management Lead
Reports To: General Manager

We are looking for a proactive individual to lead our team of inventory/warehouse employees who receive and record new stock as its delivered and shipped out. This role also be responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling all aspects of transportation and logistics functions of the company, as well as ensuring the accuracy and optimal levels of inventory.
Major Responsibility Areas:
• Supervises, recruits and develops warehouse staff.
• Maintains an inventory tracking system with a view to continuous improvement and adjustments as required.
• Examine inventory levels to determine optimal stocking levels and prepares order requests for replenishment taking into consideration stock control records and information such as consumption rate, and current market conditions.
• Maintaining and improving the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not.
• Responsible for identification of obsolete and scrap inventory and ensuring the transactions are properly approved/recorded in the ERP system.
• Prepares detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels and adjustments including root cause analysis for variances.
• Prepare month-end reports, e.g. Supply and Demand & top 50 items.
• Arranges for shipping of outbound freight including paperwork.
• Directing flow or organization materials and products.
• Negotiates cost effective inbound/outbound freight rates.
• Monitors expected shipment dates and from suppliers and updates system for changes.
• Maintains schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintains parts master including adding new parts.
• Responsible for relationship with Third Party Warehouse storage and inventory providers
• Responsible for accuracy and inventory controls. Inventory accuracy is maintained through inventory counts, analysis of variances to determine root cause of discrepancy, taking actions necessary to prevent further occurrences of discrepancies, ensuring appropriate approval for inventory adjustments, and ensuring adjustments are made as needed.
• May be responsible for the preparation of purchase orders.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• 5 – 10 Years relevant Experience
• Intermediate MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with Inventory/Warehousing module of an ERP system (JD Edwards preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft office Products (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Adaptability
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Requires the ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
Working Conditions:
• Work environment office and warehouse.
• Up to 20% travel may be required.
• Usage of a computer and other office machinery
• Forklift license or willingness to be certified.
