About the Role

As a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) with the role of Product Owner (PO), you’ll help drive the delivery and continuous improvement of core money transfer flows within the ING Mobile Banking app that is being used in multiple ING countries. You’ll work with two dynamic squads:

Mobile front-end team: dedicated Android and iOS developers, and a CJE.

Mobile back-end team: dedicated back-end developers, and a CJE.

In this role, you’ll align customer, business, regulatory, and IT needs to identify and drive (non-)functional improvements. As a PO you will facilitate a smooth collaboration and impactful delivery across both squads in a very broad stakeholder landscape. You ensure that your features scale well across countries and an ever-growing user base. You will be balancing security and stable operations with the aim of constantly exceeding the expectations of our millions of users across Europe. This requires  dedication to scalable design and development mindset.  

What You’ll Do

Translate customer, business, and regulatory needs into concrete improvements for our globally scalable solutions.

Lead your squads in refining and delivering sprint goals, including business requirements, testing, and UX collaboration.

Shape the long-term vision and roadmap for your squads and features in line with the bank’s goals.

Collaborate on quarterly planning with your Product Lead, prioritizing impactful features. Daring to say NO as much as YES.

Stay ahead of trends, offering fresh ideas and identifying opportunities to innovate.

What We’re Looking For

5 – 10 year experience as a tech – savvy PO.

Proven success in delivering customer-facing digital products; mobile app and/ or payments experience is a plus.

You have talent for taking it on and making it happen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and you are known for always being a step ahead. In other words, you strive to bring fresh ideas to life, embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment.

Experience with the Agile way of working, scrum or PACE methodologies is a plus.

A proactive, creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-changing, complex environment.

You like working in an environment with a broad network of (international) stakeholders and interdependencies. Connecting the people and the work.

Fluent in English, written and verbal.
