We're hiring! Kemin is seeking a Customer Laboratory Services Associate to join our Animal Nutrition and Health team. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and execute customer laboratory service (CLS) methods for the new enzyme platform at Kemin Industries. This execution and support comes in several major areas including developing project protocols to demonstrate effectiveness of all products in potential customers’ operations, to support Sales, Marketing and/or Technical Services Managers as an active team member, discussing projects and new opportunities for Kemin product sales, monitor test progress and summarize data to prove product effectiveness.

In addition, we have a robust internship and externship program, and frequently host student tours.  Responsibilities Developing and executing enzyme methods for Customer Laboratory Services. This will include the determination of concentrations of enzymes in food and feed stuffs.Performing routine problem solving, preliminary data analysis and accurately checking large amounts of data.Following all assigned SOPs, assist in SOP development, and test protocols without assistance.Creating and/or preparing product samples, as applicable.Generating accurate data consistently.Assisting in report writing, as needed.Must be able to operate basic and intermediate lab equipment without assistance.Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on assigned lab equipment.Follow good laboratory and safety practices.Support the product launch process and successful product launches for Kemin and customers.  Qualifications Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with 0-2 years of related experienceMust have a solid understanding of biochemistry.Must have a basic level understanding of enzyme chemistry.Must have a solid understanding of ELISA Assays and activity assaysStrong analytical and interpretation skills.Strong communication skills (written and oral).Good interpersonal skills.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Advanced computer skills and MS Office knowledge and experience. Advanced skills with Excel including ability to write formulas and generate graphs.Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
