Responsibilities The Customer Marketing Analyst is responsible for collecting and interpreting data about our neighbors and their buying habits. In this role, you will be responsible for using SQL (or similar data querying platforms) to extract and analyze data from multiple databases, including creating customer list identifying target audiences, gathering purchase and behavioral analytics and identifying success metrics for campaigns. The duties will include measuring performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and assisting with testing and personalization of user experience. This includes developing reports and analyzing brick & mortar and web transactional data using BI tools, SQL and our CDP. This role will play a critical part in advising on how to deliver a great experience to grow the business and inform strategies for customer retention and acquisition. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL, primary survey research, and third-party research tools such as Circana and IRI. Knowledge of Snowflake and Optimove platforms is a plus. Use SQL to pull data from various tables and create customer lists based on business requirements. Analyze customer data using SQL, identifying key trends and insights. Work cross-functionally to satisfy differentiated customer needs and product preferences to drive engagement and conversion during key buying occasions Research the customer journey through data-driven insights, analysis and reporting to continuously optimize touchpoints throughout the customer lifecycle Use consumer data platform (CDP) tools to manage and execute audience segmentation strategies based on data-driven customer insights Independently identify business opportunities and provide an assessment of key business drivers Transform findings into compelling presentations, including graphs, charts, or dashboards, aimed at answering key business questions and present to Senior Leadership and Key stakeholders Use sophisticated analytical or problem-solving techniques to identify root cause to issues Conduct primary survey research to gather customer insights and analyze results. Utilize third-party data sources, such as Circana and IRI, to supplement internal data and enrich analysis. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred in field such as business analytics, statistics, research, and/or data science 3+ years of analytics and insights experience Strong communication & presentational skills Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools Proficient in SQL and/or SAS Nielsen, NPD or IRI reporting and insights experience preferred Blain Supply, Inc and Blain’s Farm and Fleet (collectively “Blain’s”) is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
