The Work You'll Do:

The Customer Marketing Manager is a dedicated marketer who understands the importance of advocacy marketing and the value of the customer voice. This role supports and coordinates the post-sale customer journey to drive engagement, increase value realization, reduce churn, and improve advocacy. With experience in high-tech and a background in tax compliance, you’ll help implement customer programs that promote the adoption of Sovos solutions, boost retention, and build advocacy. Collaboration with internal teams — including Customer Success, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Support, and Account Management — is key to ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

More specifically, you will:

Customer Experience: Contribute to customer journey mapping and coordinate marketing initiatives that enhance the customer experience Lifecycle Programs: Manage customer lifecycle nurture programs, event-driven programs, and adoption content, including targeted content for at-risk accounts Persona Development: Develop and maintain customer personas to guide marketing strategies, tactics, and communications Communication & Upsell Strategy: Partner with marketing and client operations to improve customer communication processes; work with Product Marketing on upsell campaign strategies and communicate with Account Management teams Advocacy Program Management: Support the advocacy program by developing promotion strategies, coordinating recruitment outreach, and driving advocacy activities Event Collaboration: Work with marketing, strategy, and product leaders on planning and executing customer events Best Practices: Promote customer marketing best practices, program templates, and metrics within the organization Cross-functional Relationship Building: Foster strong working relationships with colleagues in marketing, sales, client operations, product management, and customer success

What We Need From You

3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., Services, Support, Customer Success, or Marketing) Ability to manage deadlines and work independently with a customer-centric approach Strong copywriting skills; experience with layout and design is a plus Effective collaboration and communication skills with colleagues and customers Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking skills Solution-oriented with an analytical approach to problem-solving Creative mindset with a passion for engaging and motivating customers through advocacy initiatives Eager to learn about people, products, and industry best practices Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check including drug screen upon hire
