The Role

We are seeking a Customer Onboarding Risk Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring robust due diligence and compliance with AML/CTF regulations.

Key Responsibilities Review high-risk and complex customer applications, including PEPs, high-risk jurisdictions, and adverse media cases. Act as a subject matter expert on UK AML and CTF regulations. Analyse customer data, transaction patterns, and source of funds to assess risk. Draft clear and concise Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reports with actionable recommendations. Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to resolve AML concerns. Conduct ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of high-risk accounts. Identify opportunities to enhance AML processes and controls. Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practices. About You Degree in law, finance, business, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of UK AML/CTF legislation (e.g. POCA, JMLSG, MLR 2017, FATF) and EU AML Directives. Experience with screening tools (e.g. World-Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis) and case management systems. Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills. Professional certification such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
