We are currently recruiting a Customer Quality Engineer to join our Antrim team.
In this role, you will be supporting strategic customer accounts with direct customer interface to drive quality improvement, responding to customer issues with crisp communication, and providing strong problem resolution.
You will be responsible for maintaining customer contacts regarding all quality related activities during product development, product release, production start and series production. Coordinate analysis of products in response to customer complaints, initiating rapid corrective measures and the establishment of permanent corrective actions to improve processes, service and products.
General Responsibilities
Analyze, solve and control complex production quality problems on time to meet the customer requirementsHandles Production Part Approval Process and provide documents to customerConducts measurement system analysis and statistical process control for key processesEnsures a smooth and timely launch of new and changed productsHandles customer returns and uses Sensata tools to provide frequent status updates to affected customersWorks effectively with test, design, product and planning engineers, regional quality engineers, regional planners, regional technical sales representatives and marketing representatives to solve customer challenges and provide answersCoordinates project teams to ensure a successful launch of new products. It should be made clear what the customer expects and in detail elaborated how this can be achieved. After this process monitoring should take place on correct implementationInitiating improvement proposals serving cost of quality, turnaround time and quality of productionMay partner with line quality engineers and management teams in Layered Process Audits and internal audits. These audits ensure that manufacturing practices are followedTrain and manage technicians and inspectors to make sure corrective actions implemented and operators follow-upEstablish and follow procedure for control on non-conforming parts in productionHandles all aspects of quality and continuous improvement across various customer groupsInitiate improvement proposals serving cost of quality, turnaround time and quality of productionAssisting clients during audits with the aim to come to a production releaseDemonstrate full ownership of product quality by driving all relevant functions towards 100% robustness in meeting specifications/performance requirementsFacilitate risk management process in compliance to appropriate external standards and corporate policiesDevelop a customer satisfaction plan. Turn "voice of the customer" into user needs and quality goalsDevelop a strategy to manage specific customer accountsHandles customer quality issue resolutionWork with customers to understand their specific requirements and then draft plans to fully satisfy their requirementsPerform risk assessmentsSet quality goals and improvement plansDocument and work with lessons learnedReview Control Plans and improve as neededDevelop a customer satisfaction planWork with Production sites to drive manufacturing improvementsAnalyze data to identify concerns and respond to customersPerform warranty analysis and identify trendsDevelop corrective action management for customer issuesExperience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experienceProven track record in a similar Quality Based role.Experience of a manufacturing environment is highly desirableMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentationStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve resultsStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrityHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standardsProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
