SUMMARY
Qualified candidates will be dedicated to supporting our customers. This is a highly technical role, providing post-sales remote/on-site support of Ribbon Communications along with 3rd Party Products in a complex integration environment. The Engineer will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within the Customer network. He is required to
support all aspects of implementation and support of the Carrier Ethernet Switch/Router and Multi Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) portfolio into carriers and service providers throughout the region.
The role is based in Germany, preferably in the Frankfurt area and requires the ability to travel up to 30 % of the time to Customer and Ribbon Communication premises
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

BSc in Electronics Engineering / Practical EngineeringOne or more of the following certifications (JNCIE, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIA, CCNP, CCIP) or proven equivalent knowledge.Network Engineer with a strong background of IP data communications or telecommunications industry experienceHands on experience with configuring IP/network equipment such as routers -Cisco and/or Juniper, SwitchesExperience in customer support, including all phases of post sales engineeringAbility to analyze fairly complex data and develop innovative solutionsData test equipment operating– Using Traffic analyzer, generator and sniffer, understand the configuration and analyze the resultsRequires technical knowledge of the following areas: MPLS, HVPLS, OSPF, BGP, Ethernet, EOS, TCP/IP and SNMPThorough understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP MPLS VPN technologiesRequires knowledge of the Service Provider network and in Carrier/Metro Ethernet infrastructure,Language skills: Fluent in German & EnglishAdvantages
Experience in designing, planning and delivering deployment large scale IP Networks for Service Providers – AdvantageKnowledge of 5G transport technologies and solutionsSolid operating system knowledge (Linux, Solaris)The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Germany.
