Under the direction of the Manager and Director of Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional and Diagnostic Services assumes responsibility and accountability for communication to co-workers, surgeons, other departments, and visitors within the perioperative environment. Enhances patient flow through the perioperative department by collecting and organizing proper patient documentation. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
Licensure/Certification

Experience
Previous experience in a surgical or healthcare environment with the understanding of patient flow in the perioperative department preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 20 pounds; shared lifting 50 pounds.
