Slab Customer Service Rep

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Slab Customer Service Representative (CSR), located in Denver, CO. Reporting to the branch manager, the Slab CSR will play a key role in providing customer service and administrative support for the slab department. Working closely with the Slab Coordinator, the CSR will be responsible for entering orders into the Dancik system, verifying pricing and inventory, and coordinating timely deliveries to customers. The Slab CSR will assist both trade professionals and homeowners in selecting materials, including quartz, granite, porcelain, marble, and other natural stones. While a background in the industry is beneficial, it is not required for a motivated individual who is eager to learn. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly develop and maintain a strong understanding of material characteristics and industry standards.
JOB DUTIES:
Prepare residential and commercial project orders and send to dealers/contractors in a timely manner. Follow specific pricing guidelines to meet minimum gross profit requirements. If unsure of pricing guidelines, discuss with appropriate management. Ensure the customer receives a quotation before their bid deadline. Keep notes on orders and hold tickets to make sure material is allocated. Entering customer’s orders in the computer system and working in conjunction with the purchasing; when needed. Orders must be reviewed and entered accurately. Notifying customers immediately if there are any delays or changes to the ETA. Works with the slab team in Salt Lake and with Supply Chain to maintain inventory Communicate project details and schedule changes with the purchasing team, shipping department and warehouse staff. Coordinate with the Slab Coordinator on all consignment customer transactions, including transfers and monthly sales reconciliations. Maintain the quote database in Dancik and make updates and any changes; as needed. Alert customers when quotations / holds have expired or products are no longer available. Follow up on quotations to find out schedule updates with the sales team to ensure product does not get value-engineered. Support the A&D and dealer representatives when they are out in the field. Check stock, and give order information when necessary. Coordinate with other slab-carrying branches on product needs, information exchange, e-blasts (tasks exclusive of order entry and transfers) Research technical inquiries including maintenance and installation questions. Advise sales representatives of jobsites issues which may need investigating to provide technical support and expertise. Maintain the slab sample library and inventory and add /subtract samples whenever new colors are added or discontinued. Labelling of samples is often required. In coordination with both residential and commercial sales teams-provide submittal packages to contractors, including samples, spec information, maintenance and warranty (if applicable). If any submittal information is not available, contact the appropriate factory or rep to obtain the information in a timely manner. In conjunction with the warehouse department, provide slab labels for all incoming inventory. In conjunction with fabricators, prequalify new fabricator customers for their ability to properly receive and handle slabs movement and fabrication (Outside sales rep to complete) Generate a customer database for regular slab communication updates via email blasts, etc. General cleaning and organizational duties, including keeping the sample aisle and library organized and clean. Cycle counting of the slab department and/ or warehouse. Maintain and update container lists on the drive, upload and post photos of upcoming slabs. Maintain and update the sales sheet with retail pricing Labeling and creating labels for all slab and slab samples. Maintain the labels and insure they are up to date and accurate for both the slab warehouse and showroom areas. Follow up on orders that have accounting errors and be able to correct and balance the order. Must have exceptional selling skills, and exercise good customer service at all times. Provide phone support to when needed.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in design and or slab is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strategic and tactical thinking abilities. Excellent oral and written communication.
