Customer Service Repair Technician

Join us as a Customer Service Repair Technician in our San Luis Obispo facility.

You will be helping customers over the phone with their products (ozone generators) who can walk them through the steps to troubleshoot them, working with warranties, and repairing units that come back from customers.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $17.88 - $33.22. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. More details about the opportunity:

Answer emails and phone calls to provide customer service, troubleshoot, answer technical questions, and place orders.Diagnose repairs and communicate with customers to authorize and be able to perform repairs on products (ozone generators).Participate in creating and presenting training materials and sessions for customersPrepare proper sales orders, work orders, material return authorizations and shipping documents for service work, both in and out warrantyWork with other departments within the company including sales, engineering, production, purchasing, planning, receiving, and shipping to provide accurate and timely service to customersMust be able to work with computer systems and applications including Microsoft Suite, specialty software, and any other applications that are needed for the positionMust be mechanically inclined, understand basic plumbing, electrical, and read blueprints or diagrams to help work with customers and repair products.Must be able to travel to perform on-site service, training, and maintenance.Past tech repair experience is preferred

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!):

1st shift: 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday (overtime when needed)

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.
